Scale practice is an important way to develop technique and tuning.

In this short example, the teacher plays in thirds to encourage better tuning. Playing with students is an excellent way to develop better tuning as the teacher provides an aural reference point. Playing together during scale practice in intervals is a useful way of warming up and considering tuning.
