Introducing the Djembe

In this Year 7 djembe lesson, the teacher explores polyrhythm using Djembe drums.

She uses a number of stages to introduce the drum, the beat and the speech rhythms needed for the performance. Time is taken for all pupils to internalise the rhythm.
