Introducing First Finger Technique

In this beginner violin group lesson, the teacher models the sound and the position for introducing the first finger.

At this stage in musical learning the teacher also questions students about the pitch - encouraging an internalising of the sound from the early stages. Posture, instrument hold and technique are essential elements from these early stages.
