In this Djembe class lesson, the teacher offers the use of independent practice time for the class to explore solo rhythms.

The pedagogy used to quiet the class is interesting. The flow remains uninterrupted and soloists emerge confidently through the approach. A key element is the use of a half class set of Djembe drums. Students can watch each other and the drums are shared in turns.
