Developing Violin Staccato

In this advanced group violin lesson, the students are taken through a series of tasks and activities to develop the physical approach to string staccato.

The 'flight or fight' mechanism is cultivated by the teacher in a number of ways to encourage sudden and immediate resonance of the string. This pace, creativity and student engagement is easily transferable other instrumental teaching and learning.
